Surface Modeling

I’ve been using Pro/Engineer in my Drafting classes for about 7 years now.  The “Educational” version of Pro/Engineer Wildfire 5 is somewhat stripped down, and while Carnegie Mellon University had a sweet set of tutorials which I have adapted and updated for ~our~ version of Wildfire, it cannot do Surface Modeling.

With a recent computer update at our school, we had the opportunity to purchase the AutoDesk Design Suite (AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, etc.), which has taken some learning but is very impressive.

I finished re-writing the CMU tutorials for Inventor 2013 and may upload them here shortly.  IN the mean-time, I was finally able to do some Surface Modeling, by creating a tutorial off of this video here.  Cool!

Prepping for Paint

BRE livery by the end of next week.

Say, I don’t think I have this school project listed anywhere.  Is it cool enough?  Send me an email letting me know.

MakerBot 3D Printer!

We now have a Maker Bot Thing-O-Matic 3D Printer for my Drafting class.

Design it and then PRINT IT!

Unleashed Awesomeness!  This is the coolest thing on the face of the earth.  I kid you not.
