Favourite Car

RESEARCH

    1. Students may work individually NOT in groups
    2. Students will research their all-time number-one favourite vehicle
      • Must be a production vehicle (no “concept cars” or “one-off’s”)
      • Must have a production run of at least 3 years
    3. FIND:
      • A picture of the car
      • A picture of the engine
      • Specifications
      • Performance figures
      • Option list
      • Retail price
      • Production numbers (how many are produced each year?)

PRODUCE

    1. Make a 100% digital poster, printed in class, containing the following:
      • Use INSERT-TABLE to create a chart of stats
      • Use BULLETED LIST to list stats, options
      • DO NOT have your text or images extend into the margins – it looks juvenile
      • DO NOT skew your images so they look stretched – it looks juvenile
      • You are using a Word Processormake it look like it!
    2. Students will present their findings to the class, make sure they introduce themselves.
      • 5 minutes max
      • Begin presentations early enough that you have time to do them all

All students will mark each presentation out of subjective mark of 10 on a sheet of paper to be handed in.  Students will mark their own presentation as well

FOR FILLER (if need be)

  • On school server – go to I:\Data drive >> Wellwood folder >> Videos folder >> Shelby American

I love many cars.  My all-time number-one-favourite is the Lotus Seven; I fell in love with them when I was 8.  Another is the Bill Thomas Cheetah.
