Another effort in trying to stop all the leaks, we re-sealed the Saginaw steering box:
Removed the steering box (starter had not yet been installed since engine was put in):
Not a complete disassembly; I just wanted to stop it from leaking. The big cup plug at the piston end was removed and resealed, and the bearings and seals were replaced at the input and sector shafts:
Overall the box is in really good shape.
Reassembling and set back to factory adjustment:
And a coat of paint:
Reinstallation once the paint is dry.
